One World Buttons
One World Buttons was founded in 1995 to market hand-crafted buttons from small enterprise programs of non-profit and non government organizations. These enterprises include women’s cooperatives, rural development programs, workshops for the disabled and small family businesses. The buttons created show the spirit of these artisans and their efforts to grow into independent and self-supporting people.
From Armenia to Zimbabwe, these products celebrate cultural and artistic diversity. Like a colorful bizarre, the buttons and other products are imbued with the color and culture of the artists. The artisans rely on natural sustainable resources at hand, technical skill passed on generation to generation and designs rich in their culture.
